A dental crown or cap is a cover placed over the tooth to strengthen, reshape and improve the appearance of a tooth. It has a natural appearance that improves your smile and is fully functional for chewing.

* Each patient is unique and individual results may vary.
We use crowns for many different reasons:
- Protecting a weak tooth
- Save a damaged tooth
- Reinforcing a cracked tooth
- Holding a dental bridge in place
- Improving misshaped or discolored teeth
- Cover a dental implant
- Replace missing teeth
- Enhancing the appearance of a tooth
It takes two or one visits to place a permanent crown. In the first visit, we prepare the affected area for your crown by removing decaying, shaping the tooth and creating a temporary. Based on a particular situation we may make a permanent crown restoration at the first visit using computer 3D technology.
Sometimes the next visit is necessary. In the next visit we replace the temporary restoration and if needed make adjustments to perfectly fit the permanent crown before finally cementing it in place. The crown covers the entire visible part of the tooth above the gum line creating a natural and beautiful new tooth.
